Jung Lee is a Korean artist. She is best known for her photography of light based installations that are situated in empty landscapes. She has released a new series of neon installations. Each one is featured in snowy and foggy landscapes.
When describing her work, she says that her interests are conceptually grounded to language and how language operates as an image.
In her past series, the neon lights formed letters and readable sentences. However, in this series titled ‘No more’ the messages in neon lights are unreadable. Although the words cannot be read, the power and the poetry of the images are still there leaving the meaning of her work down to the interpretation of the viewer.
